WHEN AND WHY DID YOU BECOME A STYLIST?
I had a natural talent and desire to style hair from a young age. Although I tried other occupations, I always returned to this field. It allows me to be in charge of my work and fulfill my creativity.
SPECIALIZATION, EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION
After high school, I went to Jules Design Studio in Washington, D.C. I passed the exam and obtained my license. Several years later I passed an exam for my Manager’s License. Over the years of opportunities to further my education included teaching for Kenra and Aveda. I was able to attend the Vidal Sasson Academy in London and study in Canada with the Zigarelli Brothers. I have worked in New York, Texas, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
Because the field is so flexible, I also went to college and received my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice.
